Job Description
Step confidently into a rewarding opportunity supporting students within a language-based program for a high school caseload. This full-time contract position offers the chance to make a difference in the lives of adolescents by providing tailored speech-language therapy in a school setting. The assignment runs from October 18th through January 21st, delivering a meaningful, focused experience during the school year.
Key Qualifications:
- Current Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
- Demonstrated experience in school-based therapy, particularly within high school settings
- Background in pediatric speech therapy, with a passion for working with adolescent learners
- Solid understanding of language-based instructional strategies and IEP development
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with staff and families
- Active state SLP license required
Core Responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech and language services to high school students in a language-based program
- Conduct comprehensive assessments and contribute to individualized education plan (IEP) development
- Collaborate with educators, families, and related service teams to support student progress
- Maintain accurate documentation and ongoing communication regarding student goals and achievements
- Offer support and strategies for classroom teachers to facilitate speech-language development
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to a positive school learning environment
