This contract opportunity offers the chance to work in-person for a full academic year with a single, supportive site located just outside Mount Lemmon, AZ. You’ll play a vital role in helping young learners achieve their developmental and physical goals while enjoying a manageable part-time schedule of 20 hours per week.
Your qualifications and experience should include:
- Valid and current Physical Therapist license in Arizona
- Previous experience working with children, preferably within a school environment
- Solid understanding of school-based physical therapy best practices
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills for collaborating with educators, families, and fellow therapists
- Ability to assess students’ needs, develop treatment plans, and document progress efficiently
- Dedication to supporting the physical development and functional independence of K-3rd grade students
Responsibilities for this role:
- Provide individualized and group physical therapy to elementary students, addressing a broad range of needs
- Evaluate students and design interventions in partnership with educational staff and families
- Develop and document measurable goals and student progress as part of the IEP team
- Consult with teachers and school personnel to support inclusive practices and classroom adaptations
- Maintain timely and compliant documentation of all therapy sessions and student interactions
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to student-centered decision making
