Step into a rewarding contract role making a direct impact on elementary students’ lives as a School Occupational Therapist in the vibrant Denver area. This part-time leave coverage position offers flexibility and the opportunity to support a dedicated school community, with the current assignment scheduled to last until the end of the month, or potentially extending through the end of the semester, depending on evolving needs.

In this role, you'll work four days per week, providing high-quality occupational therapy services to an elementary school caseload. You'll help students reach their full potential in the classroom by supporting their functional, academic, and adaptive skills.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Current, active Colorado Department of Education (CDE) credential required
  • Previous experience in a school-based setting preferred
  • Strong skills in pediatric occupational therapy, including assessment, treatment planning, and collaboration
  • Exceptional communication skills with students, staff, and families
  • Adaptable, positive, and committed to student success

Your Responsibilities:

  • Conduct assessments, develop IEP goals, and implement individualized therapeutic interventions for elementary students
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to support student progress
  • Maintain thorough documentation according to school and district policies
  • Attend relevant meetings and stay updated on best practices within school OT
  • Adjust caseload management efficiently as coverage needs may evolve
