Occupational Therapist School Setting in Rumford, ME

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Master’s degree or higher in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
• Current and valid OT license (or eligibility) for Maine
• Previous experience in schools, home health, or healthcare settings
• Strong understanding of pediatric developmental milestones and school-based therapy approaches
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to adapt therapy techniques for diverse learning environments

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide specialized OT services to students onsite 2-3 days per week (14-21 hours)
• Evaluate, develop, and implement individualized treatment plans in accordance with IEPs
• Collaborate with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams to support student success
• Maintain thorough documentation of assessments, interventions, and progress
• Participate in team meetings and ongoing professional development
