Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting student success as a school psychologist in a vibrant learning community near Warren, MI. This full-time, onsite role spans the 2026–2027 academic year, offering meaningful engagement with students, families, and educators.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Valid School Psychologist certification with relevant credentials for MARSE and IDEA compliance
  • Expertise in conducting psychoeducational evaluations and interpreting a range of assessments (intelligence, achievement, adaptive behavior, and more)
  • Solid understanding of eligibility criteria for SLD, OHI, EI, CI, ASD, Section 504, and other relevant categories
  • Strong ability to communicate evaluation results and recommendations to diverse audiences
  • Experience working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, parents, and school staff
  • Proficiency in developing IEP goals, data-driven behavior plans, and contributing to SSTs
  • Crisis intervention experience, including threat/suicidal assessment and safety planning
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and best practices in school psychology

Core Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive psychoeducational assessments per MARSE and IDEA guidelines
  • Administer, score, and interpret a range of assessment tools for students with diverse needs
  • Deliver clear, actionable recommendations and eligibility decisions to educational teams and families
  • Collaborate on creating effective IEPs, accommodations, and support plans
  • Respond directly during crisis situations to promote student safety and well-being
  • Engage with Student Support Teams to implement proactive, classroom-based interventions
  • Contribute to broader program planning and school-based decision-making
  • Stay current by participating in required professional development opportunities
