Job Description
Make a meaningful difference by supporting students' growth and success as an Occupational Therapist or Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant in a dynamic educational environment. This flexible, contract position offers the chance to work closely with students, educators, and multidisciplinary teams to provide essential occupational therapy services within a supportive school-based setting.
You'll be scheduled for 8 hours per week near the Hamilton, OH area, with the exciting option to pair this opportunity with another nearby opening for an additional 12 hours per week, creating a more robust schedule. Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants are welcomed, provided supervision is available.
Desired Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid state licensure as an Occupational Therapist (OT) or Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)
- Experience providing occupational therapy in school settings, or a passion for helping children achieve developmental and educational benchmarks
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
- Ability to adapt interventions to meet each student’s unique needs
- Open to working as part of a multidisciplinary team
- COTAs must be eligible for and able to work under supervision
Primary Responsibilities:
- Evaluate students’ functional needs and develop individualized treatment plans
- Deliver direct and consultative OT services to students in accordance with IEP goals
- Collaborate with educators and families to support student participation and success in school activities
- Document and report on student progress, maintaining compliance with school and legal requirements
- Provide strategies, training, and resources to school staff and families
The role offers competitive pay based on experience and credentials—$55 per hour for COTAs and an attractive rate for OTs.
