Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) | Morrison, Illinois

Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Pharmacist in Charge experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A retail pharmacist in charge role is available on a contract-to-hire basis in Prophetstown, IL. This position offers the opportunity to lead daily pharmacy operations while ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations.

Schedule/Hours

• Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM (1st Shift)

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily pharmacy operations and maintain compliance with all legal requirements
• Supervise, train, and manage pharmacy staff including pharmacists and technicians
• Review and verify prescriptions for accuracy and patient safety
• Manage medication inventory, controlled substances, and pharmacy records
• Develop and uphold pharmacy policies, procedures, and quality assurance standards
• Collaborate with healthcare providers to address medication-related issues and improve patient care
• Ensure a safe, efficient, and compliant workflow throughout the pharmacy

Qualifications

• Active pharmacist license in Illinois
• Experience in pharmacy management or as a Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) preferred
• Familiarity with pharmacy software systems such as McKesson Enterprise is a plus
