Key Qualifications:
- Hold a valid Physical Therapist (PT) license in the state of Illinois
- Experience providing PT services in a school or pediatric setting
- Skilled in developing and implementing Individualized Education Program (IEP) goals
- Adept at working collaboratively with teachers, staff, and families
- Strong communication, documentation, and organizational abilities
- Flexibility to adapt interventions to diverse student needs and environments
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify student motor needs within the school context
- Develop and document individualized treatment plans aligned with IEPs
- Deliver direct and consultative physical therapy services to students during the school day
- Track student progress, maintain accurate records, and contribute to IEP meetings
- Collaborate with educators and families to ensure services support classroom participation and student success
- Adapt equipment and activities to enhance student safety and achievement
- Provide in-service training on mobility, positioning, and adaptive techniques to school personnel as needed
