Job Description
We are looking for an experienced Human Resources Generalist to provide onsite support for a manufacturing operation in Columbus, Nebraska. This Long-term Contract position will work closely with plant leaders and employees across multiple shifts, helping maintain a productive, compliant, and employee-focused workplace. The ideal candidate brings strong employee relations experience, sound judgment, and the ability to manage day-to-day HR activities in a fast-moving environment.
Responsibilities:.
• Onboarding activities for new hires by coordinating orientation, completing employment documentation, and supporting employment eligibility verification.
• Maintain accurate personnel files and HR records while supporting reporting, documentation, and data tracking needs.
• Assist with payroll- and benefits-related HR administration and respond to employee questions regarding HR processes and programs.
• Promote a workplace culture centered on safety, accountability, teamwork, and employee engagement through regular floor presence and collaboration with operations leaders.
• Ensure HR practices align with federal, state, and company employment guidelines in a manufacturing setting.
• Experience in a Human Resources Generalist or comparable HR role.
• Experience supporting onboarding, HR administration, compliance activities, and employee documentation.
• Ability to stay organized, manage multiple priorities, and adapt effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency with HRIS platforms and familiarity with payroll or benefits administration processes.
• Manufacturing or industrial environment experience is preferred.
• Bilingual English and Spanish skills or HR certification are considered an advantage.
