• Weekend/Holiday Expectations: Every other weekend and every other holiday

• Floating: May float to PICU, NICU, Pediatric ED, Acute Pediatrics, and occasionally L&D/Mother-Baby as needed

Job Requirements\n

\n
• Minimum of 2 years of PICU experience required
\n
• Experience in NICU, Acute Pediatrics, and Pediatric Emergency Department settings preferred
\n
• Current BLS, NRP, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
\n
• Epic experience required
\n
• Dr. Brown’s Infant-Driven Feeding Certificate required; may submit with pending completion
\n
• Active Virginia RN license preferred; pending license accepted if in hand by the Wednesday before the start date
\n
• Previous travel nursing experience required
\n
• Ability to adapt quickly to changing patient needs, unit priorities, and pediatric care protocols
\n

Responsibilities\n

\n
• Provide high-quality pediatric nursing care across critical care and acute care environments
\n
• Float within scope to support PICU, NICU, Pediatric ED, Acute Pediatrics, and related units
\n
• Monitor and care for patients requiring ventilatory support, hemodynamic monitoring, and advanced pediatric interventions
\n
• Support neonates with complex needs, including respiratory distress, congenital conditions, and post-surgical recovery
\n
• Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapy, child life, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams
\n
• Maintain accurate charting in Epic and follow established unit protocols and patient safety standards
\n
• Deliver family-centered care with compassion, professionalism, and strong communication skills
\n
