Key Responsibilities\n- \n
- Assess childbearing women (adolescence through middle adulthood), neonates, and families to identify health status, health history, reproductive history, and learning needs \n
- Perform initial assessment and stabilization of the neonate and develop individualized plans of care based on identified physical and learning needs \n
- Teach self-care and newborn care to patients and families; assist patients and families in understanding and coping with women's health issues and childbirth \n
- Identify and intervene with vulnerable or at-risk patients and families; collaborate with other health care disciplines for treatment and referrals as needed \n
- Facilitate family bonding and promote understanding of how family relationships influence health status \n
- Maintain and update clinical knowledge, skills, and competency in the care of women and infants on an ongoing basis \n

- Completion of an accredited Registered Nurse program \n
- Current Pennsylvania RN licensure \n
- Active Basic Life Support (BLS) certification meeting American Heart Association Healthcare Provider standards \n
- Active Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification \n
- Active Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification meeting American Heart Association Healthcare Provider standards \n
- Proficiency in Epic electronic health records system (required) \n

- Experience in a Labor & Delivery or Women's and Children's Services setting \n
- Strong verbal, non-verbal, and written communication skills with the ability to communicate in a highly professional manner \n
- Demonstrated emotional tolerance, tact, and sound judgment when working with patients, families, and interdisciplinary care teams \n
