**Join Our Dynamic Team as a Labor and Delivery RN!** **Job Description:** **POSITION SUMMARY** Become a vital part of our dedicated healthcare team as a Registered Nurse specializing in maternal and newborn care. You will play a crucial role in providing quality nursing care and supporting families during one of life’s most incredible experiences! In addition, you will have the opportunity to cross-train and care for Med Surg/EICU patients when needed. **ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES** - Complete initial nursing histories, assess patient conditions, and develop personalized care plans. - Triage patient care effectively based on presenting or expressed symptoms. - Administer medications accurately and safely. - Monitor and assess labor progression with confidence. - Manage labor induction and cervical ripening with expertise. - Respond competently to medical emergencies including: - Prolapsed cord - Breech delivery - Postpartum hemorrhage - Precipitous delivery - Uterine rupture - Management of meconium - Abruptio placenta - Placenta previa - Perform and interpret fetal heart monitoring with precision. - Address pregnancy-related concerns such as hypertension and diabetes proactively. - Assess newborn conditions and identify situations requiring enhanced care. - Carry out neonatal resuscitation within your scope of practice and certification. - Detect and manage neonatal sepsis with vigilance. - Monitor newborns for adverse events (hypoglycemia, hypothermia, jaundice) and intervene effectively. - Encourage patient education, promoting involvement in newborn care. - Identify and alert providers about changes in patient status promptly. - Communicate effectively with the entire care team. - Perform other duties as requested to ensure seamless patient care. **REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS** - Two-year degree in nursing required; four-year degree preferred. - Must hold and maintain Wisconsin Registered Nursing license. - AHA BLS within 1 month of hire. - NRP within 6 months of hire. - ALSO within 1 year of hire. - STABLE within 1 year of hire. - Intermediate Fetal Monitoring within 1 year of hire. - Exceptional accuracy and attention to detail are a must! **Shift Information** - Part-Time: 2 - 12 hour shifts per week (Night shift: 1900-0730) - Weekend rotation required. - Holiday coverage required. **Minimum Years of Experience** - Less than 1 year. **Certifications / Requirements** - BLS/BCLS - NRP **Why Catalytic Solutions (CatSol):** At CatSol, we connect dedicated therapists with rewarding assignments across the country.
