**Join Our Team as a RN Psych at a State-of-the-Art Behavioral Health Unit!** **Job Description:** - **Position:** RN (Psychiatric Nursing) - **Shift:** 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM - **Location:** Valley Springs, Holyoke, MA - **Unit:** Forensic Unit Mountain View - **Weekly Guaranteed Hours:** 40 hours - **Weekend Requirements:** Every other weekend - **Call Requirements:** None - **Required Certifications:** - BLS (AHA) - Handle with Care (HWC - can be completed on-site if needed) - **Years of Experience:** Minimum of 3 years in mental health nursing - **Patient Ratios:** 1 RN to 9 patients - **Team:** - Experienced staff with the lowest restraint rate in Massachusetts - Full team of rehab staff for group programming - Onsite medical group to address all medical concerns - 3 unit Psychiatrists - **Patient Population:** Adults 18 and over with a history of legal issues; primarily those transitioning to community placement - **Common Diagnoses:** - Bipolar disorder - Schizoaffective disorder - Major Depression - Substance Abuse - Chronic medical conditions (Diabetes, Hypertension, COPD) - **Personality Fit:** - Compassionate and trauma-informed care - Flexible and adaptable to changing patient needs - Confident with excellent communication skills - **Required Education:** BSN preferred - **Dress Code:** - Scrub Color: Blue - Unacceptable Attire: Open-toe shoes, provocative or tight clothing **Why Catalytic Solutions (CatSol):** At CatSol, we connect dedicated therapists with rewarding assignments across the country.
