Description\n

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an ICU position requiring 1-2 years of ICU experience and NC or compact RN licensure.

Details\n

\n
• Work in the ICU/CCU unit of an acute care hospital
\n
• 8-bed unit serving all patient ages, including geriatric and adult populations
\n
• Common diagnosis/treatment includes respiratory failure
\n
• Patient ratios of 1:2-3
\n
• Uses Cerner EHR
\n
• Day shift schedule from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
\n
• Weekend coverage required every other weekend
\n
• Call requirements as needed
\n
• Floating required with a 1:6 ratio
\n

Requirements\n

\n
• Active RN license (NC or Compact) currently in hand
\n
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, CPI/HWC/MAB, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
\n
• 1-2 years of ICU experience required
\n
• High acuity experience preferred
\n
• Social Security number and date of birth required for consideration
\n

Additional Information\n

\n
• Provide ICU-level nursing care across a range of patient ages and acuities
\n
• Weekly orientation held on Mondays
\n
• Scrubs of any color are acceptable; no casual attire permitted
\n
• Candidates must reside 60 miles or greater from the facility to be considered for the travel rate
\n
• Local candidates within 60 miles may be considered at the local rate
\n
• Candidates who have worked permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months are not eligible
\n
• Candidates cannot be employed elsewhere full time while on assignment
\n
