Registered Nurse – Labor and Delivery

Schedule / Job Type\nContract | Night Shift (3x12 Hours, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | 36 hours per week | Every other weekend required | Must work 2 out of 3 winter holidays
Key Responsibilities\n- \n
- Provide direct patient care in a Labor and Delivery unit serving both low-risk and high-risk (maternal fetal medicine) populations, including a certified nurse midwife population \n
- Monitor and assess fetal and maternal status throughout labor, delivery, and immediate postpartum care \n
- Cross-train to Mother/Baby unit as needed \n
- Float to NICU (feeders/growers) as required within scope of practice \n
- Operate within a unit environment that includes 8 private labor rooms, 4 private triage beds, and 2 OB operating rooms, supporting approximately 2,000 annual deliveries \n

- Active Virginia RN license (pending license accepted; must be in hand by the Wednesday before start date) \n
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification \n
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification \n
- Fetal Monitoring certification \n
- AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring certification \n
- Epic EMR experience required \n

- BSN preferred \n
- Experience in high-risk obstetrics or maternal fetal medicine settings \n
- Prior experience or comfort floating to Mother/Baby or NICU environments \n

- Opportunity for an extended assignment through early 2027 in a high-volume, full-service Labor and Delivery unit \n
- Work within a comprehensive OB program offering exposure to both low-risk and high-risk patient populations \n
