Job Opportunity – Intermediate Care Unit Float Pool RN – North Carolina

Schedule: Night shift, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM, three 12-hour shifts per week. Up to 2 weekends per month. Holiday coverage required. Block scheduling may be considered if requested upfront. Floating to Medical-Surgical units based on patient volume.

Highlights:\n

• 24-bed Intermediate Care Unit with average daily census of 20-24 patients
\n
• Patient ratio of 5:1 with a goal of 4:1
\n
• EPIC EMR system (recent proficiency required)
\n
• Telemetry skills essential; occasional pediatric patients
\n
• Float pool position with flexibility to support Medical-Surgical units as needed
\n
• Collaborative, interdisciplinary team environment with Rapid Response/Code team support
\n

Requirements:\n

\n
• Active North Carolina or Compact state RN license required
\n
• Minimum 2 years of Intermediate Care Unit or telemetry experience
\n
• 2+ years of travel nursing experience required
\n
• Current BLS, ACLS, PALS (AHA), and NIHSS certifications required
\n
• Recent EPIC EMR experience and proficiency required
\n
• Skills in telemetry monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, cardiac drips (non-titration), central and peripheral line care, blood product administration, and non-invasive airway management
\n
• Must be comfortable caring for diverse age groups including pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients
\n
• Candidates must reside more than 40 miles from the facility (driver's license verification required)
\n
• COVID-19 vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions only)
\n
