This position is primarily focused on performing mammography and diagnostic radiography procedures, producing high-quality images for physicians and other licensed practitioners to interpret.

- Perform diagnostic radiography and mammography procedures. \n
- Prepare and position patients for imaging while ensuring their comfort and safety. \n
- Review the patient's clinical history and confirm the correct procedure. \n
- Operate mammography and radiography equipment and select appropriate exposure settings. \n
- Position the patient and equipment to obtain quality images of the required anatomy. \n
- Evaluate images for technical quality and proper patient identification. \n
- Minimize radiation exposure while obtaining diagnostically useful images. \n
- Provide clear instructions to patients and help reduce anxiety during procedures. \n
- Assist licensed practitioners with interventional procedures when required. \n
- Verify informed consent before applicable procedures. \n
- Follow aseptic/sterile techniques when necessary. \n
- Prepare, identify, and/or administer contrast media or medications when permitted by state law and facility policy. \n
- Provide appropriate physical and emotional support to patients. \n
- Maintain compliance with hospital policies, safety standards, and required education. \n
- Travel/agency staff may float to other qualified departments before core staff are floated. \n
Education

- Associate's or Bachelor's degree from an accredited Radiologic Technology program. \n
Required Credentials
\n- \n
- OBMI \n
- ARRT registered Mammography Technologist \n
- Current BLS certification \n
CRASE Training
\n- \n
- Required if the travel assignment extends beyond 6 months. \n
Experience
\n- \n
- 2+ years of experience is preferred. \n
Day-shift Mammography Tech opportunity seeking an ARRT-registered Mammography Technologist with OBMI and BLS; 2+ years of experience preferred.
