Procurement Manager (Food and Housekeeping Inventory Manager)

 

Role Overview

The Procurement Supervisor oversees purchasing and inventory for all materials supporting weekly food and housekeeping orders. This role ensures timely availability, cost control, and accurate management while working cross-functionally with Planning, Operations, QA, and Finance.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Continuously monitor and analyze commodity markets, pricing, and supply chain trends to provide insights that guide sourcing decisions.

  • Ensure that the daily food orders are captured in the ordering system.

  • Ensure that missing product from orders have credit captured from the vendor.

  • Monitor Instacarts for supplying clients with necessary items missing from orders.  

  • Develop and lead category and procurement strategies across multiple food divisions (including proteins, produce, and frozen) to meet cost, quality, and supply objectives.

  • Build and sustain strong partnerships with distributors and accounts to ensure consistent quality and reliability.

  • Develop and monitor supplier performance metrics (KPIs) to drive continuous improvement in service, quality, and innovation.

  • Oversee Customer Service Department personnel.

  • Oversee the daily workflow and schedules of the department.

  • Ensure on-time deliveries

  • Problem solve issues

  • Monitor Budgets, costs, pricing, and purchase variances.

  • Identify and implement cost-reduction initiatives while safeguarding product integrity and supply continuity.

  • Prepare regularly weekly, monthly, quarterly and yearly reports for internal management.

  • Update the vendor profiles and facility contact list

  • On site position

  • Other job duties as assigned

 

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 7 years of procurement, sourcing, or category management experience within the food industry.

  • Strong expertise in commodity analysis, food sourcing, and supplier negotiations.

  • Strong leadership and project management skills, capable of driving cross-functional initiatives in a fast-paced environment.

  • Excellent communication skills both oral and written.

  • Detail oriented
