Vinegar process operator - Night shift | Training on day shift
Schedule:
Wednesday 4:30pm-10:30pm, Thursday- Saturday 4:30pm-5:00am
Training hours will be:
Wednesday: 4:30am-10:30am
Thursday: 4:30am-5:00pm
Friday: 4:30am-5:00pm
Saturday: 4:30am-5:00pm
A local manufacturer is seeking a processor operator! In this role, you'll be responsible for producing, moving, and monitoring liquid vinegar mixes while maintaining safety, quality, and sanitation standards. This is a hands-on, production-focused position ideal for someone detail-oriented and comfortable working in an industrial food manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities
- Follow all safety, GMP, and food safety guidelines
- Review production schedules and produce required vinegar types and quantities
- Operate and monitor tanks, pumps, valves, lines, and related equipment
- Perform routine field inspections to ensure safe and efficient operations
- Troubleshoot process issues and escalate concerns as needed
- Conduct lab testing and accurately document results
- Load and unload bulk liquid shipments; receive and inspect raw materials
- Clean tanks, containers, and work areas according to sanitation procedures
- Complete production reports and certificates of analysis
- Monitor weekly inventory of raw materials and finished goods
- Participate in month-end inventory cycle counts
- Assist with sanitation tasks as needed
Requirements
- 1+ year of active, daily forklift operation experience required
- Forklift certification preferred
- Basic math and computer skills
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work overtime, on-call, and variable shifts
- Ability to work in high-temperature environments and around chemicals
- Steel toe footwear required
- Basic knowledge of acetator, fermentation, or Romicon operations preferred
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and lift up to 50 lbs. for 12 hours
