Job Description
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Collections Specialist to join our banking client’s financial operations team. This role is responsible for managing delinquent accounts, maintaining compliance with federal and state regulations, and providing exceptional customer service while achieving performance and recovery goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a portfolio of delinquent consumer or commercial accounts, performing outbound and inbound collection calls to resolve past-due balances.
- Negotiate repayment arrangements, payment plans, and settlements in alignment with company policies and regulatory guidelines (FDCPA, CFPB).
- Accurately document all customer interactions and account activity within the bank’s collection management system.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of banking regulations, internal procedures, and compliance standards.
