About the Role

We're seeking an Accounts Receivable & Collections Specialist to join our Finance team. In this role, you'll be responsible for managing customer accounts, maintaining accurate receivable balances, applying payments, reconciling accounts, and driving collection efforts to ensure timely payment of invoices.

This position is ideal for someone who understands the full accounts receivable process and is comfortable balancing customer relationship management with proactive B2B collections. The successful candidate will have strong analytical skills, experience working with aging reports, and the ability to use Excel to identify trends, research discrepancies, and support reporting.

What You'll Do

• Manage a portfolio of customer accounts and monitor outstanding balances
• Conduct B2B collections through phone and email communication
• Follow up on past-due invoices and payment commitments
• Review and analyze accounts receivable aging reports to prioritize collection activities
• Research and resolve payment discrepancies, deductions, chargebacks, and short payments
• Process customer payments, credits, cash applications, and account adjustments
• Reconcile customer accounts and maintain accurate financial records
• Generate reports related to collections activity, aging, cash receipts, and account performance
• Partner with customers and internal departments to resolve billing and account issues
• Maintain detailed documentation of collection efforts and account activity
• Support month-end close activities, audits, and financial reporting

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications

• 3+ years of Accounts Receivable experience in a B2B environment
• Experience performing commercial collections as part of an Accounts Receivable function
• Experience managing customer accounts through the full receivables cycle, including collections, cash application, and account reconciliation

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with ERP, accounting, collections, or CRM systems
• Experience in manufacturing, distribution, logistics, wholesale, or other business-to-business environments
• Experience preparing AR reports and supporting month-end close activities
