Compounding Batcher/Material Handler

We are currently hiring for the position of Compounding Batcher/Material Handler.

HOURS: 6am-4:30pm Monday-Thursday with occasional overtime on Fridays and rare Saturdays when needed.

Job Skills Required:

• Ability to stand for and walk for the entire shift
• Ensure established housekeeping standards are met in work area
• Ability to drive forklift and maintain an active forklift license with training
• Previous forklift experience handling chemical containers and drums is required
• Ensure a safe working environment by following safety procedures
• Ability to communicate in a positive manner
• Ability to follow specific instructions correctly
• Must be flexible in terms of duties, overtime, etc...
• Must be able to consistently lift up to 40 lbs.
• Ability to push/pull up to 400 lbs.
• Must be comfortable with basic computer functions including, but not limited to, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft Excel.
• Must be able to score an 80 or above on the Compounding/Batcher test in order to be considered

Job Duties:

• Initiate completion of designated production schedule as assigned by supervisor
• Identify and locate materials needed to complete an assigned work order
• Accurately fill and record the materials used to finish a work order
• Follow cleaning procedures necessary to maintain fragrance consistency
• Complete paperwork required for submission of fragrance/vermiculite samples
• Notify supervisor of any issues related to completion of a work order
• Unloading of truck deliveries
• Receive and sample raw materials
• Locate raw materials once approved
• Load truck with empty material drums for pick up
• Handling of waste oil properly according to regulatory standards
• Use of AS400 to backflush and initiate material movement throughout Mixing/Compounding
• Daily Candle pulls for the Candle Department
• Support day to day tasks of Mixing/Compounding team leader as required
• Fulfill any other responsibilities given by supervisor
