Requirements:

  • Master's or Doctoral degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program (ACOTE)
  • NBCOT certification required
  • State OT license required
  • BLS certification required
  • 1+ years of OT experience required
  • Experience with EMR/documentation systems

Duties:

  • Evaluate patients to determine functional abilities, limitations, and treatment needs
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to improve daily living skills, mobility, and independence
  • Provide therapeutic interventions for physical, cognitive, and/or developmental conditions
  • Train patients and caregivers on adaptive equipment and techniques for daily activities
  • Collaborate with physicians, PTs, and interdisciplinary care team on patient progress and goals
  • Document evaluations, treatment plans, and progress notes in compliance with facility and regulatory standards
  • Adjust treatment plans based on patient response and progress
  • Educate patients and families on home exercise programs and safety strategies
  • Ensure compliance with state practice acts and facility policies
