Requirements:
- Master's or Doctoral degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program (ACOTE)
- NBCOT certification required
- State OT license required
- BLS certification required
- 1+ years of OT experience required
- Experience with EMR/documentation systems
Duties:
- Evaluate patients to determine functional abilities, limitations, and treatment needs
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to improve daily living skills, mobility, and independence
- Provide therapeutic interventions for physical, cognitive, and/or developmental conditions
- Train patients and caregivers on adaptive equipment and techniques for daily activities
- Collaborate with physicians, PTs, and interdisciplinary care team on patient progress and goals
- Document evaluations, treatment plans, and progress notes in compliance with facility and regulatory standards
- Adjust treatment plans based on patient response and progress
- Educate patients and families on home exercise programs and safety strategies
- Ensure compliance with state practice acts and facility policies
