Position Overview (Local and Onsite)

We are seeking a compassionate and motivated Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to join our team on a part-time basis leading to full-time employment.  The PTA will work under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist to help implement individualized treatment plans designed to improve patients’ mobility, strength, function, and overall well-being. This role involves direct patient care, assisting with therapeutic exercises, monitoring progress, and helping to create a supportive and encouraging environment for patients.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist the Physical Therapist in implementing individualized treatment plans for patients
• Guide patients through therapeutic exercises and rehabilitation activities
• Monitor patient progress and report observations to the supervising Physical Therapist
• Educate patients on proper exercise techniques and home exercise programs
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient treatments and progress
• Prepare treatment areas and equipment for therapy sessions
• Ensure a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for patients
• Communicate effectively with patients, therapists, and staff members

Qualifications

• Associate degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program
• Current state license or eligibility to obtain licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant
• CPR certification (or ability to obtain)
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to motivate and support patients through rehabilitation
• Organized, reliable, and detail-oriented

Preferred Skills

• Experience working in an outpatient or wellness-based physical therapy setting
• Interest in holistic or wellness-oriented care
• Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team
• Holistic wellness lifestyle

Schedule

• Part-time 
• Flexible scheduling based on clinic needs and patient volume

Work Environment

This position involves working directly with patients in a clinical or wellness setting. The role requires assisting patients with exercises and mobility activities and may involve standing, walking, bending, and lifting as part of daily duties.

Pay

• $28-$35 an hour depending on experience.
