Registered Behavioral Therapist

Trendline's Behavior Services team uses scientific principles and assessment and intervention strategies from Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) to help our consumers achieve more satisfaction and independence. More specifically, we identify factors that contribute to challenging behavior, alter antecedent conditions, shape and teach new skills and responses, train other team members and stakeholders, and impact reinforcement contingencies.

The Role: RBTs are the face of our Behavior Services team as they provide direct intervention to consumers in accordance with their BSPs (Behavior Support Plans) and under the supervision of BCBAs and BCaBAs. RBTs also help collect crucial data during assessments and interventions and provide invaluable insights to their larger teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Direct Therapy: Provide face-to-to face services in home and community settings. Direct therapy can be delivered 1:1 or alongside of other members of consumers' teams. Intervention efforts typically include a combination of prompting and coaching relevant stakeholders, behavior reduction, antecedent manipulation, contingency planning, and skill acquisition through prompting, shaping, fading, and generalization.
• Data Collection: Accurately collect and record behavioral data using the "Motivity" data software program and other data collection measures. Document individual session progress by submitting a "Care Note" at the end of each session.
• Collaboration: Work with all members of the consumer’s support team including their family members, BCBA or BCaBA, day habilitation staff, ISL or Personal Assistant (PA) staff, nurse, employment services staff, and other specialists.
• Training/Supervision: Participate and respond positively to ongoing training and supervision including weekly Behavior Services team meetings, small-group supervision sessions, individual supervision sessions, and monthly "Lunch-and-Learn" meetings.

Qualifications For This Role Include:

• Current RBT certification through the BACB or willingness to complete RBT coursework and competency instruction.
• High school diploma or GED (some college education is considered a plus).
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work effectively under the supervision of a BCBA or BCaBA.
• Excellent moral compass and work ethic.
• Passion and understanding of individuals who have developmental disabilities.
