Position Overview

DSI is seeking a DevOps Engineer to design, implement, and manage a complex hyperconverged cloud infrastructure built on the Nutanix platform. This role will focus on infrastructure automation, CI/CD implementation, system administration, and continuous process improvement.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented and able to assess and track how activities—including patching, maintenance, and configuration changes—affect the underlying infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and manage hyperconverged cloud infrastructure on the Nutanix platform.
• Develop and maintain automated deployment scripts using tools such as Ansible and Terraform.
• Partner with development teams to implement and improve continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
• Identify opportunities to automate manual processes and improve operational efficiency.
• Design, develop, and implement automation solutions using Bash, Python, Ansible, PowerShell, and related technologies.
• Test and validate automation solutions to ensure they meet requirements and are free from defects.
• Monitor and document the impact of patching, maintenance, and other operational activities on the infrastructure.
• Collaborate within a Scrum team in an Agile development environment.

Required Qualifications

• Approximately five years of relevant professional experience; related postsecondary education or technical training may also be considered.
• Active final Top Secret clearance before the start date.
• Ability to obtain a DoD 8570/8140-compliant certification, such as Security+ CE or an equivalent certification, within three months of starting.
• Experience with virtualization or cloud technologies such as VMware, Red Hat OpenStack, or Nutanix.
• Experience administering Linux and/or Windows Server environments.
• Experience with scripting or automation technologies such as Bash, Python, PowerShell, or Ansible.
• Experience working on a Scrum team in an Agile environment.

Desired Qualifications

• Experience developing CI/CD pipelines with GitLab.
• Experience with containerization and orchestration using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience implementing configuration management practices with Ansible.
• Experience supporting an on-premises Nutanix hyperconverged cloud platform.
• Experience with Windows Server and Active Directory.
• Scrum Master experience.
