Description
American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist for an Outpatient position specializing in adult orthopedic and neurological rehabilitation with a significant aquatic therapy component.
Details
- Outpatient clinic setting focused on adult orthopedic and neurological rehabilitation
- Approximately 50% of caseload involves aquatic therapy
- Day shift schedule, 5x8 hours from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
Requirements
- Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy or equivalent degree from an accredited program
- Current Alaska Physical Therapy License or eligibility for licensure in Alaska required if applicable
- Experience or interest in aquatic therapy strongly preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, particularly with children and families
Additional Information
- Responsibilities include evaluating patients and developing individualized treatment plans
- Provide hands-on aquatic-based physical therapy for orthopedic, neurological, and functional rehabilitation needs
- Deliver aquatic therapy sessions utilizing the therapeutic properties of water to enhance mobility, strength, and recovery
- Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans as appropriate
- Educate patients and families on exercises, injury prevention, and wellness strategies
- Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
- Ability to create fun, engaging therapy sessions while maintaining therapeutic goals
