Job Summary:
The CT Technologist position is located in a healthcare facility in Massachusetts and involves working night shifts. The role requires the technician to perform high-quality computed tomography (CT) scans independently, primarily utilizing GE VCT and Evo/Evolution equipment. The candidate will be responsible for following hospital protocols, maintaining equipment, and ensuring diagnostic accuracy. The position is ideal for a certified professional with experience in GE imaging systems and strong technical skills.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Nights, Thursday and Friday from 9:00 PM to 7:00 AM; Saturday and Sunday from 8:30 PM to 7:00 AM, totaling 40 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Massachusetts license and ARRT (CT) certification with IV certification or competence, minimum of 2 years of experience as a CT Technologist, graduate of an AMA approved educational program in Radiological Technology. Experience with GE VCT and Evo/Evolution scanners is essential.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with calcium scoring on GE scanners, ability to work independently, and familiarity with Med Rad injection systems, PACs, VRC, Powerscribe, and Meditech.
- Additional Information: The role involves occasional head CTs and CTA procedures, with a requirement to perform calcium scoring if capable. The technician must be able to handle administrative duties such as image review, patient escort, and room preparation. The work environment requires maintaining cleanliness and functionality of the work area, with equipment troubleshooting and reporting malfunctions as needed.
