We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Travel Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our rehabilitation team for a travel assignment. Working under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist, the COTA will provide high-quality occupational therapy services designed to help patients improve functional abilities, increase independence, and enhance their overall quality of life.

Responsibilities
- Implement individualized occupational therapy treatment plans developed by the supervising Occupational Therapist
- Provide therapeutic activities and interventions to improve activities of daily living (ADLs), fine motor skills, coordination, strength, balance, and functional performance
- Monitor patient response to treatment and communicate progress, concerns, or changes to the supervising Occupational Therapist
- Assist patients in developing the skills needed to safely perform daily activities and maximize independence
- Educate patients and caregivers on adaptive techniques, assistive equipment, home exercise programs, and safety strategies
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in accordance with facility policies and regulatory requirements
- Collaborate with Occupational Therapists, physicians, nurses, and other members of the interdisciplinary healthcare team
- Participate in care planning and assist with discharge planning as appropriate
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized therapy environment
- Provide compassionate, patient-centered care while supporting established rehabilitation goals
- Adapt quickly to new facilities, teams, documentation systems, and patient populations
Requirements
- Required: Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program
- Required: Active Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) license in the state of assignment or ability to obtain
- Previous clinical experience preferred
- Strong communication, documentation, organizational, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with the supervising Occupational Therapist
- Ability to adapt quickly to new clinical environments
- Commitment to providing high-quality, patient-centered care
