CT Technologist Job Summary
The CT Technologist operates computed tomography (CT) equipment to produce cross-sectional images of patients' bones, organs, and tissue for diagnostic purposes. This role includes a variety of imaging procedures, encompassing general radiography and fluoroscopy.
Key Responsibilities- Operate CT equipment to obtain high-quality images for diagnostic evaluation.
- Perform general radiography and fluoroscopy as required.
- Ensure patient safety and comfort during imaging procedures.
- Maintain and troubleshoot imaging equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to interpret imaging results and assist in diagnosis.
- Adhere to safety protocols and maintain cleanliness in the imaging area.
- Document procedures and maintain accurate patient records.
- Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology or CT program.
- Certification and registration as a Radiologic Technologist (RT) with specific CT certification preferred.
- Strong understanding of anatomy and imaging techniques.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to providing high-quality patient care.
