Mid Shift Quality Inspector - Now Hiring

Our client, manufacturing in the building materials industry, is seeking a Quality Inspector to join their team. As a Quality Inspector, you will be part of the production support team supporting quality assurance and process improvement initiatives. The ideal candidate will demonstrate attention to detail, reliability, and a proactive attitude, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Quality Inspector

Location: Buchanan, NY

Pay Range: 20.00 - 25.00

Shift: Days, Evenings (11:00-19:00)

What's the Job?

• Cut wallboard samples at regular intervals throughout an 8-hour shift, approximately every 30 minutes to 1 hour.
• Use utility knives with cut gloves to accurately cut samples of wallboard.
• Take basic measurements of wallboard using a tape measure and record data on log sheets.
• Adhere to all safety policies and procedures while working onsite, including wearing PPE such as hard hats, hearing protection, safety glasses, hi-vis vests, and safety boots.
• Assist with physical tasks including walking, standing, lifting, bending, and twisting during shifts, with the ability to lift and carry samples up to 20 lbs with assistance as needed.

What's Needed?

• Experience working in a manufacturing or warehouse environment.
• Ability to use a standard tape measure accurately.
• Basic computer skills are preferred.
• Flexibility to work either day or evening shifts, with a training period from 7:00 am to 3:00 pm for the first two weeks.
• Physical ability to perform tasks involving walking, standing, lifting, bending, and twisting throughout the shift.
