Medical Assistant

 Little Rock Specialty Clinic in search of 2 Medical Assistant to join their team.  Clinic experience required!
Rooming patients, manual blood pressures, EKGs, vital signs, pre-charting in EPIC, returning patient phone calls, scheduling hospital procedures. May potentially travel to outreach clinics on occasion. 
Monday-Friday 8:00 am-5:00 pm!  Great Group/Benefits/Perks//Docs!

The Medical Assistant plays a crucial role in supporting healthcare providers within a large team setting. Reporting directly to the Nurse Supervisor and Physician, this position ensures smooth clinical operations by preparing patients, performing vital clinical tasks, and maintaining accurate electronic health records. The Medical Assistant also contributes to patient education and helps uphold compliance with healthcare regulations.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for examinations and procedures
• Measure and record vital signs accurately
• Collect specimens for laboratory testing
• Administer medications as directed
• Maintain and manage electronic health records
• Schedule patient appointments efficiently
• Provide patient education on treatments and procedures
• Sterilize medical equipment to ensure safety

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience in medical assisting
• Proficiency with Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems
• Strong patient care skills
• Expertise in vital signs measurement
• Knowledge of medical terminology
• Excellent communication abilities
• Teamwork skills to collaborate within a large clinical team
• Understanding of HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality

Preferred Qualifications

• Certification in medical assisting or related field
