Senior Sales Manager – Columbia, MD

We are seeking a motivated, proactive Senior Sales Manager to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced hotel sales professional who enjoys building relationships, developing new business, and turning opportunities into results.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop new group and catering business.
• Grow and maximize existing hotel accounts.
• Identify and target high-revenue-potential accounts.
• Prospect through sales calls, networking, referrals, research, and local relationship building.
• Capture competitor accounts and uncover new business opportunities.
• Respond to leads promptly to maximize conversion.
• Maintain an active account development and prospecting strategy.
• Conduct outside sales calls, client appointments, site tours, and hotel presentations.
• Partner with hotel operations to ensure an exceptional customer experience.
• Develop and implement hotel-specific sales strategies.
• Maintain accurate account, activity, and sales documentation.
• Achieve established revenue and sales activity goals.

Qualifications:

• 3–5 years of hotel sales experience, preferably in a full-service hotel environment.
• Experience with group, catering, transient, recreation, and/or key account sales.
• Strong prospecting, negotiation, relationship-building, and closing skills.
• Knowledge of hotel operations, competitive positioning, rates, promotions, and market trends.
• Proactive and results-driven approach to sales.
• Strong organization, communication, and follow-up skills.
• Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license for outside sales calls.
