Pay Range: $26-$28/hour (Based on Experience & Qualifications)

Role Overview:

Brilliant Financial Staffing has been engaged in a search for a Payroll Specialist for our client located in Lincolnshire, IL. Our client is a well-established organization currently looking to add a Payroll Specialist to their growing team on a contract-to-hire basis. This position will be responsible for processing high-volume, multi-state payroll for approximately 600–900 employees across multiple locations. The ideal Payroll Specialist will have strong payroll experience, excellent attention to detail, and be available to interview and start ASAP.

Payroll Specialist Responsibilities:

• Process high-volume, multi-state biweekly payroll using Workday
• Process payroll for approximately 600–900 employees across assigned regions
• Review and validate payroll and timecard information submitted by various locations
• Process payroll for hourly, salaried, exempt, non-exempt, commissioned, draw, and flat-rate employees
• Review and spot-check timecards for accuracy and completeness
• Research and resolve payroll discrepancies
• Work with dealership locations to obtain and verify payroll information
• Ensure payroll is processed accurately and within established deadlines
• Perform payroll processing across multiple tax IDs and locations
• Prepare and process payroll according to established procedures
• Assist with additional payroll-related projects as needed

Qualifications:

• 1+ years of payroll processing experience preferred
• Strong payroll background with experience processing high-volume payroll
• Multi-state payroll experience preferred
• Workday experience is a plus, but not required
• Basic Excel skills
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
• Strong communication skills and willingness to learn
