Interventional Pain Physician

The Interventional Pain Physician plays a vital role in a multidisciplinary pain clinic, providing expert pain diagnosis and management through advanced interventional procedures. This physician independently manages patient care, collaborating with a specialized team to optimize treatment outcomes and enhance patient quality of life. The focus is on clinical practice with opportunities for continuous professional development within a supportive team environment.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and assess various pain conditions accurately
• Perform advanced interventional pain procedures using imaging guidance
• Consult with patients to develop individualized pain management plans
• Utilize imaging tools effectively to guide interventions
• Provide thorough follow-up care and monitor treatment efficacy
• Coordinate care within a multidisciplinary team setting
• Educate patients on pain management strategies and procedural expectations

Required Qualifications

• Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO)
• Valid medical license to practice
• Board certification in Pain Medicine or a related specialty

Preferred Qualifications

• Over 2 years of experience in interventional pain management
• Proficiency in ultrasound-guided injections and fluoroscopy
• Strong skills in patient assessment and chronic pain management
• Experience with epidural steroid and facet joint injections
• Excellent communication and patient counseling abilities
• Critical thinking and problem-solving aptitude
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
