Job Summary:
Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory Technologist in a scenic region known for its outdoor recreation and vibrant community. This role involves assisting physicians with diagnostic and therapeutic procedures related to cardiovascular health, operating specialized imaging equipment, and ensuring patient safety throughout invasive and non-invasive tests. Job Details:
- Schedule: Rotating shift; 8 hours per shift; minimum of 40 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Associates Degree or equivalent combination of education and related experience; valid Radiologic Technologist (RT) license in the state of practice; current Fluoroscopy license in CA within 6 months of hire; American Registry of Radiologic Technologists Radiography (ARRT-R) certification; Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an approved vendor per policy
- Preferred Qualifications: One year of catheterization experience
- Essential Functions:
- Assists physicians with diagnostic and interventional cardiovascular procedures
- Operates and maintains special procedure equipment, including C-Arm and angiographic injectors
- Monitors, records, and evaluates patient vital signs during procedures
- Ensures radiation safety standards through proper shielding and immobilization techniques
- Maintains sterile techniques and adheres to infection control protocols
- Performs preventive maintenance and troubleshooting on cardiovascular imaging equipment
- Supports the medical team during procedures involving catheterization and imaging
- Completes documentation for procedures and maintains equipment and supply stock
- Performs general office duties and disinfects equipment after each use
