Description
American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist with ARRT(R) certification for a 13-week night shift assignment requiring 1-2 years of CT and acute care experience.
Details
- Hospital-based Computed Tomography department
- Night shift schedule of 3x12-hour shifts
- 36 hours per week
- Weekend shifts required
- Uses Epic charting system
Requirements
- ARRT(R) certification required
- BLS certification (AHA) required and must not expire prior to start
- Associate degree required
- 1-2 years of CT and acute care experience preferred
- License required if applicable
- Active state licensure required with no pending license accepted
- Proficiency in CT imaging techniques, protocols, and sectional anatomy
- Experience with contrast administration and contrast injector operation
- Ability to view, transfer, and manipulate electronic images
- Ability to recognize and respond to emergent patient situations
- Ability to function independently and as part of a team
Additional Information
- Performs a variety of CT procedures using ionizing radiation for diagnostic purposes
- Ensures proper patient identification, order verification, and exam preparation
- Reviews and evaluates images for quality, clarity, and accuracy
- Administers contrast media as ordered under radiologist or physician supervision
- Provides patient education and addresses patient or family concerns
- Coordinates patient care and communicates with other care providers post-procedure
- Practices infection control and sterile techniques
- Maintains accurate records of procedures, patient information, and any incidents
- May assist and instruct students and other radiology technologists on protocols and procedures
- Radiation badge provided by supplier
- Colorado-hired caregivers may need Fluoroscopy certification
- Returning Intermountain staff must be separated from any Intermountain facility for at least one year before being eligible for a travel assignment
