Penmac Staffing is now hiring a Tire Retread Technician for a client in the West Plains area. This is a hands-on opportunity for someone who is dependable, safety-focused, mechanically inclined, and ready to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

As a Tire Retread Technician, you’ll help give commercial tires new life by inspecting, repairing, preparing, retreading, and finishing tires according to established quality and production standards.

What You'll Do

Inspect used commercial tires to determine eligibility for retreading.
Perform tire casing repairs and preparation.
Operate buffing, building, curing, and finishing equipment.
Apply tread rubber and other retread materials according to specifications.
Conduct quality inspections throughout the retread process.
Identify defects and promptly report equipment or quality concerns.
Meet established production standards and daily output goals.
Assist with loading, unloading, and moving tires throughout the facility.
Complete required production and quality documentation.
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
Follow required safety procedures, PPE requirements, and applicable OSHA guidelines.
Work closely with team members and supervisors to meet production and customer deadlines.

What We're Looking For

Required:

Ability to regularly lift 50–100 pounds.
Ability to stand, bend, twist, push, pull, and perform repetitive movements for extended periods.
Basic mechanical aptitude and strong attention to detail.
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
Dependable attendance and punctuality.
Strong commitment to workplace safety.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Willingness to learn new equipment and processes.
Pre-employment drug screen (THC is NOT permitted)

Preferred:

High school diploma or GED.
Previous manufacturing, warehouse, automotive, or tire industry experience.
Experience operating industrial machinery or equipment.
Forklift certification or willingness to obtain certification.

Work Environment

This position works in a manufacturing and warehouse environment and may include exposure to heat, noise, dust, and industrial equipment. Frequent lifting, pushing, pulling, and repetitive movement are required. Appropriate personal protective equipment must be worn as required.

Schedule

Full-time
Overtime and weekend work may be required depending on production needs.
