Fabrication Assistant w/light welding $28/hour(Direct Hire)

Position Overview:

We are seeking a Fabrication Assistant to support our welding and fabrication team.

This role involves assisting welders, performing fabrication tasks, and preparing materials and assemblies for production and shipment.

Responsibilities:

• Assist welders with moving materials and completing post-weld preparation
• Perform fabrication tasks including tube bending and plasma cutting
• Execute manual tack welding and assist with semi-automatic welding operations
• Use hand tools to form tubing, secure fasteners, deburr edges, and prepare orders for shipment
• Fit, tack, and weld assemblies made from aluminum and stainless steel in compliance with welding codes and specifications
• Position parts in jigs and fixtures to achieve proper dimensions and orientation
• Follow work orders and verbal instructions accurately
• Maintain a safe and organized work environment
• Operate pallet jacks and forklifts (training provided if needed)

Qualifications:

• Minimum 2 years of experience with aluminum seam welding
• Experience in mechanical assembly or metal forming preferred
• Ability to read and understand work orders and instructions
• Knowledge of general shop practices and safety procedures
• Strong attention to detail and teamwork skills

Pay: Up to $28/hour (based on experience)

Schedule:

• Monday – Thursday: 6:30 AM – 4:00 PM
• Friday: 6:30 AM – 10:00 AM
