Description

American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab / EP Technologist with 2+ years of cath lab experience and RCIS or ARRT (CI) certification for a combined cardiac cath and IR lab.

Details

  • Acute care setting in a Level 3 trauma facility with a combined cardiac cath and interventional radiology lab
  • 2 procedure suites/labs with an average of 4 cases per day (combination of cath and IR)
  • Patient population includes STEMI, NSTEMI, and pacemaker cases
  • Uses Epic EMR along with MacLab and Siemens equipment
  • 4x9 hour day shifts, 7:00 AM to 4:30 PM
  • Weeknight call approximately 10 times per month
  • Weekend call rotation (Friday, Saturday, Sunday) approximately every 3rd weekend
  • Holiday call required and shared among staff (1 major summer holiday, 1 major winter holiday)
  • Call response time is 30 minutes
  • Cardiologist is in-house during the day and on call overnight
  • No floating to other facilities required

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of cath lab experience required
  • BLS (AHA) certification required
  • ACLS certification required
  • RCIS (via CCI) or ARRT (CI) certification required; if candidate does not hold ARRT (R), a CO fluoro certification will be required
  • IR experience preferred or willingness to learn
  • Epic EMR experience preferred
  • Active state or compact (NLC) nursing license required for the state of submission (license required if applicable)
  • Copy of driver's license required for consideration

Additional Information

  • Responsibilities include circulating and monitoring cases, and performing pre- and post-procedure patient calls and assessments
  • Scrubs (blues) are provided
  • Unit-specific orientation is conducted over a couple of days during the week following facility-wide orientation
  • Clinicians must be in-state for the week of orientation, even if initial modules are completed remotely
  • Candidates must reside at least 60 miles from the facility
