Sawmill Team Member

SAWMILL TEAM MEMBER 
Automation Personnel Services is looking for a Sawmill Team Member for a company based in Belk, AL. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work for one of the world’s largest forest products companies. 

Pay Rate 
$19.00 per hour

Schedule and Hours 

Monday through Saturday, 5 45 am to 7 30 pm

Sawmill Team Member Shift Duties and Responsibilities
• Assist with keeping a steady flow of lumber throughout the mill by straightening lumber cross-ups using a pike pole, as necessary. 
• Load and unload materials from trucks, racks, and other storage areas, ensuring proper handling to prevent damage.
• Transport materials to designated locations within the facility, maintaining inventory accuracy and organization.
• Closely follow safety regulations and guidelines at all times, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment and securing loads properly.
• Responsible for completing clean-up (cleaning, shoveling, blowing air hoses, picking up trash, painting, etc.) of regularly assigned area.

Sawmill Team Member Shift Qualifications and Requirements 
• Prior manufacturing/warehouse/lumber operations experience preferred.
• Able and willing to work in varying seasonal climate conditions. Not climate controlled.
• Demonstrated commitment to safety.
• Walking, standing, climbing, bending and lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Excellent attendance record.
