Make a meaningful impact as a Teacher for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing, supporting students across five campuses within a diverse and vibrant community near Garland, TX. This contract position spans the academic year from August 13, 2026, through May 26, 2027, and offers the flexibility to provide services both virtually and onsite, totaling 37.5 hours per week.

Key Qualifications:

  • Current certification in Deaf/Hard of Hearing (DHH) education (appropriate Texas credentials)
  • Experience delivering DHH instruction and support in educational settings
  • Knowledge of various communication modalities (e.g., ASL, Oral, Total Communication)
  • Ability to adapt teaching strategies to accommodate individual student needs
  • Strong collaboration skills for working across multiple campuses and with multidisciplinary teams
  • Excellent organizational and communication abilities

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct DHH services to students identified as Deaf or Hard of Hearing, tailored to their IEP goals
  • Develop and implement individualized educational plans in coordination with classroom teachers and related service providers
  • Foster inclusive and accessible learning environments, advocating for student access and participation
  • Facilitate training and support for staff and families as needed
  • Use data-driven decision-making to monitor student progress and adjust instruction
  • Maintain appropriate records and comply with all local and federal requirements
