Phlebotomist

Our client is seeking a dedicated Phlebotomist to perform various responsibilities pertaining to specimen collection and lab operations. The main goal of the position is to ensure accurate and efficient execution of phlebotomy-related tasks, while maintaining a safe and compliant work environment.

• Perform phlebotomy and collect specimens.
• Verify authorizations and obtain consent for limited tests.
• Document per QA standards; maintain logs and records.
• Manage and verify lab supply inventory.
• Send specimens to reference labs as needed.
• Process lab orders, reports, and daily paperwork.
• Identify and band patients for transfusions; follow blood bank policy.
• Operate and maintain lab equipment.
• Perform waived testing under CLIA; record control data.
• Ensure OSHA compliance and universal precautions.
• Dispose of hazardous materials properly.
• Maintain clean, stocked work areas.
• Safeguard patient and staff confidentiality.

• Prior Phlebotomy Experience
• High School Diploma or GED
• Flu Shot
• Hep B
• Phlebotomy Certification (preferred but not required)
