Qualifications & Desired Experience:

  • Valid and active Kansas teaching license for Special Education, current and verified prior to district consideration.
  • Applicable experience teaching at the corresponding grade level (elementary, middle, high, or alternative).
  • Prior background in life skills instruction, autism support, or behavioral intervention preferred.
  • Strong classroom management and communication skills.
  • Passion for working with students who have moderate to severe learning or behavioral challenges.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging, individualized instruction tailored to students’ needs within specialized classrooms.
  • Develop and implement IEPs in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Employ evidence-based strategies to support learning, self-regulation, and social development.
