Make a powerful impact supporting K-12 students as a Social Worker or Counselor specializing in Multi-Tier Systems of Support (MTSS) for a dynamic Michigan school community. This contract opportunity spans the 2026-2027 academic year (August 17 - June 11) and offers the chance to make meaningful differences in students’ lives while collaborating closely with educators, administrators, and families. Working full-time, you’ll help shape student outcomes by implementing data-driven interventions and providing direct support across a diverse school population.

Key Qualifications:

  • Master’s Degree in Social Work (MSW) or Counseling from an accredited institution.
  • Current full licensure by the State of Michigan as a social worker (LMSW) or counselor (LPC); limited license (LLMSW/LLPC) holders will be considered if advancing toward full licensure.
  • Previous experience as a social worker or counselor in a public school setting or related agency is preferred.
  • Ability to work with Collaborative Teams and knowledge of MTSS frameworks.
  • Comfortable working onsite with a K-12 caseload.
  • Must provide official university transcripts, LARA license, and MDE SW Approval.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with staff to evaluate data, determine, and implement appropriate intervention strategies.
  • Design and execute tiered intervention programs for general and special education students.
  • Attend and contribute to student support team and MTSS meetings, as well as parent conferences.
  • Guide staff with research-based, data-driven intervention practices and track student progress.
  • Deliver individual/group intervention services and behavior management.
  • Assist families in engaging with their child’s educational journey.
  • Maintain documentation and case management in line with district procedures.
  • Coordinate services for students and families as needed.
