Job Summary

Our client is seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant to join their OB/GYN team. This position involves providing crucial clinical support and administrative coordination to ensure efficient operations in a medical office setting. The primary responsibilities include patient intake and vital signs, clinical triage, lab work, and managing prior authorizations and medical documentation. The role aims to enhance patient care, streamline office workflow, and facilitate effective communication between medical staff and patients.



Key Responsibilities

  • Clinical Support: Room patients, obtain vital signs, update medical histories, assist in clinical triage, perform basic lab work, administer injections, and prep for OB/GYN procedures.

  • Administrative Coordination: Manage prior authorizations, process medical documentation, act as pharmacy liaison, communicate with patients, and maintain digital patient records.



Qualifications

  • Certification: CMA (AAMA), RMA (AMT or NAHP), or NHA Required
  • Dipolma: graduated from an accredited institution
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in a medical office setting; preferably in Women's Health or OB/GYN
  • Experience in Adult Primary Care, Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, or Urgent Care
  • EPIC experience preferred


Skills

  • High level of empathy and discretion in handling sensitive reproductive health topics.
  • Exceptional organizational skills to manage FMLA and authorization paperwork.


Additional Requirements

  • Flexibility to travel to various OBGYN offices in the downtown Baltimore area as needed.


Schedule

  • Monday-Friday 8:00am-4:30pm
