Location: Warsaw, IN 46580
Pay Rate: $20.00-$24.00 per hour
Schedule:

  • Monday, Tuesday, Thursday: 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM
  • Wednesday: 8:30 AM - 8:00 PM (Extended clinic hours)
  • Friday: 8:30 AM - 2:00 PM


About the Role

We are seeking a skilled, compassionate, and dependable Medical Assistant to join our outpatient healthcare team in Warsaw, IN. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on phlebotomy experience, excellent clinical skills, and a personable approach to patient care. This role combines clinical responsibilities with patient engagement and administrative support.



Key Responsibilities

Clinical & Laboratory Support

  • Perform routine and complex blood draws using standard equipment, including butterfly needles.
  • Collect and properly handle urine drug screenings (UDS).
  • Perform CLIA-waived diagnostic testing as directed.
  • Obtain accurate medical histories and record patient assessments in the EMR.
  • Obtain and document patient vital signs, including performing accurate manual blood pressure checks when automated equipment is unavailable.
  • Restock, manage, and audit laboratory supplies, PPE, and clinical inventory.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked clinical environment.


Patient Engagement & Administrative Support

  • Warmly greet and interact with patients in a supportive, non-judgmental, and approachable manner.
  • Perform phone outreach for appointment reminders, treatment follow-ups, and patient care re-engagement.
  • Assist with administrative workflows related to prior authorizations and organize injection patient schedules, preferred.
  • Support injection-related scheduling and coordination; Nurse Practitioners administer all injections at this facility.
  • Maintain accurate clinical documentation and scan medical records into the EMR system.
  • Provide professional and compassionate support to patients from diverse backgrounds.


Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum of 1 year of strong, hands-on phlebotomy experience, including proficiency with butterfly needles.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience working as a Medical Assistant in a fast-paced outpatient clinic environment.
  • Proven proficiency in obtaining manual vital signs, particularly manual blood pressure measurements.
  • Personable, empathetic, and communicative with a high level of comfort working with diverse patient populations.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate clinical documentation.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, patient-focused environment.
