The opportunity

TESIM Electric is expanding its commercial and mission-critical electrical pipeline across Texas. We are hiring a senior estimator and preconstruction leader who can build accurate, executable bids and help win the right work.

What you will own

• Lead conceptual, design-development, and construction-document estimates for commercial electrical scopes.

• Build takeoffs, labor and material pricing, subcontractor solicitations, bid packages, alternates, and value-engineering options.

• Review drawings, specifications, schedules, contracts, and bid requirements to identify scope gaps, constructability issues, long-lead items, and commercial risk.

• Lead estimate reviews, bid/no-bid decisions, client-facing preconstruction meetings, and post-award turnover to operations.

• Build relationships with general contractors, owners, engineers, vendors, and industry partners.

Required qualifications

• 7+ years of commercial or industrial electrical estimating, preconstruction, or closely related experience.

• Proven ability to independently develop detailed electrical estimates and clear proposals from complete or early-stage information.

• Strong knowledge of electrical construction methods, labor units, materials, equipment, plans, specifications, and applicable codes.

• Experience with electrical estimating and takeoff tools such as Accubid, LiveCount, Trimble, ConEst, Bluebeam, or equivalent.

• Sound judgment on margin, risk, capacity, schedule, and pursuit selection.

Preferred experience

• Data centers, mission-critical facilities, healthcare, advanced manufacturing, or other complex electrical work.

• Medium voltage, switchgear, generators, UPS, PDU/busway, grounding, controls, testing, or commissioning.

• Existing relationships with Texas general contractors and project partners.

Compensation and benefits

• $57–$100 per hour, based on experience and role scope.
