Citrus Cardiology Consultants, PLLC is seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Exercise Physiologist to join our Cardiac Rehab team. This role involves developing and implementing individualized exercise and care plans for cardiac patients, ensuring safe and effective recovery. The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical skills, a passion for patient care, and expertise in cardiology and physiology. Citrus Cardiology Consultants has been serving Central Florida with outstanding cardiovascular care for over 40 years. Our team of board-certified cardiologists, advanced practice providers, nurses, and support staff is dedicated to delivering the highest quality of patient-centered care. We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Cardiac Rehab Exercise Physiologist to join our team and support our growing practice.

Responsibilities:

  • Leading exercise therapy sessions for Phases I – III cardiac rehabilitation.
  • Adhere to individualized exercise prescriptions and moderating activity to meet each participant’s needs.
  • Taking vitals (pulse, blood pressure, pulse oximetry) and assessing symptoms.
  • Adjusting exercise equipment to the needs of individual patients.
  • Conducting and interpreting physiological data from stress tests.
  • Prescribing exercise and working with a team of cardiologists and nurses.
  • Supervising and overseeing stress testing or exercise for cardiac and high-risk patients.
  • Performing routine exercise treatments and related patient care support activities (education, monitoring, documentation, and follow-up planning).

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Exercise Physiology, Kinesiology, or related field required.
  • National certification such as ACSM Certified Clinical Exercise Physiologist (ACSM CEP), ACSM EP, or AACVPR Certified Cardiac Rehabilitation Professional (CCRP) required.
  • Prior clinical experience working in cardiology, cardiac rehabilitation, or cardiac stress testing.
  • Advanced knowledge of cardiac pathophysiology, cardiopulmonary exercise testing, and cardiac rehabilitation guidelines.
  • Proven ability to perform patient assessments including EKGs, vital signs monitoring, and body mechanics evaluation.
  • Familiarity with electronic medical records systems such as eCW is preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a focus on patient service and education.
