Job SummaryWe are seeking an experienced Deli team member for a primary customer-facing Deli/Counter
position. This diverse role requires top-notch customer service; slicing deli meats and cheeses to order;
stocking and maintaining coolers (including retail coolers); and following all department procedures
In this position, you will work closely with the Butcher and other team members in our upscale, family-owned community market. The
ideal candidate is a reliable and responsible self-starter with strong communication and interpersonal
skills and a professional attitude.

Responsibilities Provide excellent customer service. We are a community market and we maintain a high standard of
friendly, knowledgeable and professional service to our customers.
Deli and Counter service. This is a customer-facing position. Duties include greeting customers, taking
and filling their orders (deli meats and cheeses sliced to order, meats, seafood)
Follow department procedures. Maintain meat/fish coolers daily, ensuring freshness and customer
appeal; maintain retail coolers by checking dates, rotating stock and stock as needed; maintain deli
supplies as needed; ensuring cleanliness and health department guidelines at all times.
Assist Butcher and other team members as needed.
Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age
• High school diploma/GED required
• Experience using meat slicers, scales and knives
• Ability to stand for long periods and regularly lift 30lbs
